  • 13th September
  • 20th September

  • 18th October

***** PLEASE NOTE *****

There is no class on the 27th September, as we have a scheduled *SPECIAL EVENT*, which we cannot wait to announce!  Please, follow us on Instagram, for news.

This course takes place over six weeks.  Each class runs for 2 1/2 hours.  During the course you will learn how to,  “wedge”/prepare the clay for throwing and throw pots on the potter’s wheel.  On the wheel you will learn centering, and then methods to make vessels.  You will also learn “turning”, the process of tidying up the base of your pots.   You will learn about surface decoration using coloured slips and various glazing techniques.  Throughout the course you will also learn “good studio practice”, the art of keeping your work area as clean/tidy as possible, thus, benefiting everyone.

Clay can be messy, so please dress for outdoor play.

Long nails can really inhibit your creativity with clay, so please do remember to trim them.

Bring a clean wipeable apron and an old hand towel to each class.

The last 20 minutes of each class is dedicated to cleaning up.

We take everyone’s health and safety very seriously!

Anyone in self-isolation or with COVID-19 symptoms must NOT visit the studio. Under any circumstances.

We may take your temperature, on arrival

The heated studio has large windows, that will be open, and there will be an extractor fan on.

Masks must be worn in the studio at all times.

Hand Sanitizer must be used before you enter the studio, and when you leave.

The Studio is large, airy and ordered so that social distancing can be maintained.
