This six week course starts on Thursday 7th November 2019, and
will take place, in our studio on the lower ground floor
of the Moseley School of Art, every Thursday afternoon from 1.00pm – 3.00pm, on the following dates:-
The cost of each ticket is for one adult and one child, together, for six weeks.
If you wish to bring another adult or child please email us.
Each additional adult will cost £90, and each additional child will cost £45.
The course takes place over six weeks, for 2 hours each session, ncluding tidying up time.
The course is structured to explore the basics of clay, at your own pace.
Working with your child we will develop the skills to confidently manipulate clay using coil, slab and sculptural techniques.
Each week we will explore a different making method and also how to decorate the final product, with either slips or glazes.
Please dress for outdoor play as clay can
be messy, trim long nails, make sure
long hair is tied up. Please bring a clean
wipeable apron and an old hand towel and an old pair of shoes to wear in the pottery to each session. Change them on entry and departure to keep the building clean!
Sundragon studios are pleased, in fact, thrilled to announce the introductiion of a family pottery session to our roster of available courses.
We are very lucky to have secured tutor, Austin Gannon, to lead these sessions.
Austin has taught ceramics to people of all ages, 6 months to 99 years old, for over 20 years in Birmingham.
In response to great demand we are so pleased to be able to offer a family pottery session at Sundragon Studios. This session is for one child and one adult, together. If you wish to add more people please email us. The session is lead by Austin Gannon, who has taught ceramics in pre-school more 10 than years. Austin also has many more years experience of teaching children and adults, alike, and we are very lucky to have him join our teaching team.
