This SEVEN week course starts on Monday 7th June , and will take place every Monday afternoon from 1.30pm – 4.00pm on the following dates.
This course takes place over seven weeks. Each class runs for 2 1/2 hours. During the course you will learn how to wedge, knead, and prepare clay, ready for working with. You will be shown various methods of forming vessels, including some work on the wheel. You will learn about surface decoration using coloured slips and various glazing techniques. Throughout the course you will also learn “good studio practice”, the art of keeping your work area as clean/tidy as possible, thus, benefiting everyone.
Clay can be messy, so please dress for outdoor play.
Long nails can really inhibit your creativity with clay, so please do remember to trim them.
Bring a clean wipeable apron and an old hand towel to each class.
The last 20 minutes of each class is dedicated to cleaning up.
We take everyone’s health and safety very seriously!
Anyone in self-isolation or with COVID-19 symptoms must NOT visit the studio. Under any circumstances.
We may take your temperature, on arrival
The heated studio has large windows, that will be open, and there will be an extractor fan on.
Masks must be worn in the studio at all times.
Hand Sanitizer must be used before you enter the studio, and when you leave.
We have restricted student numbers to 5 people, plus the tutor, in order that social distancing can be maintained.
Following the scientific advice on Covid-19, it may transpire that we have to cancel this run of courses.
Unfortunately, we will have to charge a £5 non-refundable deposit, to cover our costs, should the classes need to be cancelled
Sundragon are delighted that Fiona has agreed to teach again this coming summer.
